No.The entire setup is done through visual interfaces— the MOD Bundles app and the Shopify theme editor. No coding, HTML, CSS, or developer experience is required.
Here's what the process looks like:
1. Create collections in Shopify (standard Shopify skill)
You need a Shopify collection for each step of your bundle. For example, a "Build Your Own Meal" bundle might need an "Appetizers" collection, a "Mains" collection, and a "Desserts" collection. This is done through Products > Collections in your Shopify admin — the same way you'd manage collections for anything else in your store.
2. Build the bundle in MOD Bundles (point-and-click)
Open MOD Bundles, click Create Bundle > Collection Bundle, give it a title, add your steps by selecting collections, choose a discount type, and hit create. The entire process is a guided form — no code involved.
3. Add the app block to your theme (visual theme editor)
Go to Online Store > Themes > Edit theme, create a new product template, and add the Collection Bundle block from the Apps section. This is all drag-and-drop in Shopify's theme customizer. You then assign that template to your bundle product.
What about customization?
All visual customization (colors, layout, show/hide elements) is all handled through the theme editor's settings panel — no code needed. More advanced styling overrides or custom cart drawer integrations may benefit from a developer, but these are entirely optional.
